Mr. Price had been a member of the Methodist church the greater part of his life and served as
steward in the church for many years.
* Note: The burial was at the Price Chapel cemetery. There was a concern about the water wells
being near a cemetery. About this time typhoidfever was very common. During the summers,
typhoid vaccination clinics were held at the Springfield school. There may have been a series of
3 shots. Need to find out more about this. There were people who were carries of typhoidfever.
One project related to this was building ofpit type out door toilets. A lot of houses still had open
toilets.
