Others present: City Secretary Sue Howard, Ernie Johnston, and
Arlis Thomas.
Minutes of the November 12, 1991, meeting were read, and upon a
motion by Alderman James Kuhn, seconded by Alderman Bobbie Kidd,
said minutes were approved. Motion acrried.
Report of employees: No overtime will be paid until forty hours
of work is completed in a week's time. No overtime will be paid
unless authorized prior to work except in the case of emergency.
The Board voted to hire Jamuice Barbee as a full time employee and
include insurance coverage for her.
Ernie Johnston brought more information on the trash hauling. No
action was taken.
PRPC scores for the grant application for next year were discussed.
Clarendon placed .15th ixi the returns at this time.
The City Christmas Party was discussed. It will be held December
9, 1991 at 7:00 p.m.
Donley Appraisal District presented the sale ad of properties
taken for delinquent taxes stimulated bids from four individuals
on five properties. Each tax body with a tax interest in each
property must approve its sale. Motion was made by Alderman
David Pitts, seconded by Alderman James Kuhn, to accept bids on
four properties, rejecting the bid on #4 property. Motion carried.
The City of Shamrock has asked for support for the location of a
state prison in the Shamrock area. Motion was made by Alderman
James Kuhn, seconded by Alderman David Pitts, to support Shamrock
as the location of a state of Texas prison. Motion carried.
There being no further business at this time, motion was made by
Alderman David Pitts, seconded by Alderman Bobbie Kidd, to adjourn.
Motion carried.

December 10, 1991
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Clarendon met in regular
session on December 10, 1991, in the Board Room, City Hall at
7:00 p.m.
Members present: Mayor James Sharrar, Aldermen David Pitts,
Steve Smith, McKinley Smith, and Bobbie Kidd.
Members absent: Alderman James Kuhn.
Others present: City Superintendent Jim Roberts, City Secretary
Sue Howard, Librain Mary Linn Bills, Judy and Vergel Welch, and
Ed Sanders.
Minutes of the November 26, 1991, meeting were read, and upon a
motion by Alderman David Pitts, seconded by Alderman Steve Smith,
said minutes were approved. Motion carried.
Discussion of health insurance applications on new full time
employees, City Secretary was instructed to call the company and
try to get the needed answers.
Alderman David Pitts presented the information he gathered on FAX
machines. No action was taken at this time.
Mayor James Sharrar read a letter from Jane Kerr of the Panhandle
Council on Alchholism and Drug Abuse concerning services they offer.
Mr. Ed Sanders of Tulsa, Oklahoma was here to tell about his
business of setting up transfer stations. No action was taken at
