MINUTES
OCTOBER 13, 1992
7:00 P. M.
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Clarendon met in regular
session on October 13, 1992, at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room, City
Hall.
Members present: Mayor Steve Smith, Aldermen David Pitts, Mac
Stavenhagen, McKinley Smith, and Bobbie Kidd.
Members absent: Alderman James Kuhn.
Others present: City Secretary Sue Howard, Librarian Mary Linn
Bills, Ernie Johnston, and S. H. Pitts.
Minutes of the September 22, 1992, meeting were read, and upon a
motion by Alderman Bobbie Kidd, seconded by Alderman Mac Stavenhagen
said minutes were approved.
Ernie Johnston presented a list of equipment that the City no
longer uses. Motion was made by Alderman MIac Stavenhagen, seconded
by Alderman David Pitts, to advertise this list with bids to be
opened on the 27th of October. The City of Clarendon reserves
the right to accept or reject any and all bids. Motion carried.
Equipment to be put up for bids include:
Topper Hard Cap for a Ford Ranger XLT, also fits S10 or
S20 pickup.

Ernie Johnston also discussed the use of the trash key from the
Sheriffs Office. The Board said we need to change the locks. Pie
will send bills to those who have abused the privilege of using the
dump box.
Mary Linn Bills gave a library report. New Library Board members
are Lawrence Neece, Barbara Cosper, and Ruby Jewel Hardin. Motion
was made by Alderman David Pitts, seconded by Alderman McKinley
Smith, to accept the recommendations for new board members for the
Library. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Alderman Mac Stavenhagen, seconded by Alderman
David Pitts, to pass an ordinance prohibiting the allowance of
leakage of waste material and providing a penalty for violations.

AN ORDINJANCE PROHIIBITING THIE ALL0OW7ANtCE OF LEAKAGE OF WASTE MATERIAL
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLARENDON, TEXAS:
Section 1. That it is unlawful for any person, corporation,
company, or other entity to allow the leakage or spillage of
garbage, animal parts or waste, organic material, or other waste
material within the city limits of the City of Clarendon.
