The budget for the 1993-1994 year was discussed and reviewed.
No action was taken pending the public hearing concerning
the budget.
Motion was made by Alderman Mac Stavenhaqen, seconded by
Alderman David Ditts, to set the tax rate at .61976 per
$100.00 for maintenance and operation. Motion carried.
Discussion followed concerning the expense of sanitation
services. The decision was made to increase the Greenbflt
Sanitation pick-up.to $50.00 per dumpster per month.
Bills for the month of July 1993 were presented, and upon
a motion by Alderman Mac Stavenhacen, seconded by Alderman
McKinley Smith, said bills were ordered paid. Motion carried.
Fire Department Receipts and Disbursements for the month of
July, 1993, were presented, and upon a motion by Alderman
Mac Stavenhagen, seconded by Alderman McKinley Smith, said
report was approved. Motion carried.
There being no further business at this time, motion was
made by Alderman Mac Stavenhaqe, seconded by Alderman
David Pitts, to adjourn. Motion carried X

PUBLIC HEARING
AUGUST 24, 1993
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Clarendon met for a
Public Hearing to submit an application for the Texas
Community Development Grant on August 24, 1993, in the
Board Room, Citv Hall at 7:00 p.m.
Members present: M1ayor Steve Smith, Aldermen Bobbie Kidd,
McKinley Smith, Delmar TWiqs, and David Ditts.
Members absent: Alderman Mac Stavenhaaen.
Others present: City Secretary Sue Howard, Janjce Barbee,
Ernie Johnston, Bill Russell, Carroll McKeever, Dickie
Johnson of OJD Engineering, Dick Bode, Jody Butler, M1. R
Cofer.
Minutes of the August 10, 1993, meeting were read and upon
a motion by Alderman Bobbie Kidd, seconded by Alderman
McKinley Smith, said minutes were approved.
Motion was made by Alderman David Ditts, seconded by
Alderman Delmar Wfiggs, to terminate J. Ca Moffett due to
health problems, effective August 25, 1993, Motion carried.
Motion was made by Alderman Delmar PJigqs, seconded by
Alderman David Pitts, to cut Clifton Elliott beck to three
days a week, effective September 30, 1993. Motion carried.
Mayor Steve Smith opened the first public hearing concernincr
the Texas Community Development Grant application. The TCDP
Program Information Packet was distributed to those present,
