SCIENCE CLUB
THE Science Club was organized some thirty years ago, for students interested in
science by Dr. Julius Olsen. This club is not only the oldest but the largest
on the campus.
The science club has always been active since its organization, and has always
endeavored to create more interest in and a better understanding of science in its
various fields. The organization is open to any and all students interested in science
and the attendance is required by all those majoring or minoring in any of the
sciences or in mathematics.
Programs are given each Monday morning at ten o'clock, consisting of discussions,
explanations and demonstrations of various scientific principles and effects.
Doctors and other prominent scientists of Abilene give lectures on their particular
phase of science.
Field trips to the various places of scientific interest of Abilene and the surrounding
territory were sponsored this year by the club.
