Officers' Quarters at Camp Holland, Texas

Description:

Photograph of officers' houses at Camp Holland in the Rimrock mountains 12 miles west of Valentine, Texas. Window panes, heating apparatus, all furnishings have long been gone. The water supply came from a great flowing spring in the deep canyon on the right. The supposed massacre occurred a quarter of a mile to the left of the buildings. This photo was included in a research paper by William Kim Thornsburg in an American History class at Marfa High School in 1966.
