Wanderlust
The wanderlust came early
And claimed me for its own,
And took me southward, northward,
And through the tropic zone.
And, lo, I've seen the mountains,
And, lo, I've seen the plain,
And there are many islets
That I've seen twice again.
The road is near its ending,
And soon must cease my raceBut,
oh, the many cities
That I can never pace!
The wanderlust is urgent,
And still within doth stir,
And till my feet stop moving
I'll be a wanderer.
