jriO..eparatory Class
Who wouldn't know his English, the best class
in school, no doubt
Inspired by such old-worthies as wrote our
classics out.
Of all expectant seniors who must wail their
bitter fate
Few fail because of English, this course they
ne'er forsake.
To speak of foreign language does but shame
the guilty ear.
It is the awful monster that even good boys
fear.
Were it not for this imposter we would have a
double toll
Of worthy graduated seniors on our honor roll.
With history we're familiar, we know not why
nor how.
It causes many a senior to think and knit his
brow.
One thing cannot be questioned, it comes and
goes as snow.
A week we quit our text books we don't know
what we know.
Our band is few but faithful and true and tried
we are.
We love our Alma Mater a new and morning
star.
God grant that others sailors who'll stem the
rising tide
May from this port of promise begin the tide to
ride.
