JACK MILLER RE-ELECTED
Our Roving
Reporter at
My favorite reporter
who happens to be Janet,
my wife, went around
and interviewed the fol-
lowing members during
the reunion and here are
some of the comments:—
Richard K. Franks (C/17) 2576
Taylor Rd., Cleveland Hts. 18,
Ohio: "My wife, Lillian, and
I are attending a reunion for
the first time. We did not know
of the associations existence
until I ran into Gene Blackford
last year and he promptly turn-
ed my name in to the Secre-
tary. Lillian and I enjoyed the
reunion very much and hope
to make many more.
Clifford H. Bourie (D/23) 53
Franklin St., Verona, N.J.:
"This is imy 10th reunion.
Each year I keep hoping more
23rd tank Bn. men will be
brave enough to show up at the
reunions. This year Raymond
Richardson (SV) attended his
first, and I hope it won't be
his last. Come on you men,
let's give the 714th Tank a
little competition."
Theodore Bernstein (C/66) 93
Wainwright St., Newark 12, N.
J.: "At the Charlotte reunion
I was a disappointed man, but
at the Toledo reunion my faith
was restored when I saw my
good buddies once again. I
haven't seen Dale Matheny
since I left the service. It was
our pleasure to meet his charm-
ing wife and I hope Toledo
won't be his first and last re-
union."

Ohio was re-elected president of our 12TH ARMORED DIVISION

sociation and had served the association well in other capacities
before assuming the office of president.

Johnson (B/714) 832 S. Valley Blvd., North Canton, Ohio, First
Vice-President for his second term.

Lloyd A. Sheehy (HQ/495) 7
Fraser St., Yale, Michigan: —
"The last reunion I attended
was in Detroit in "53". At this
time it is hard to remember
what happened to the years be-
tween Detroit and Toledo. All
I can say is that we all should
be sorry for the ones we have
missed. I sure enjoyed watch-
ing everyone having such a
good time. Needless to say, I
was one of them. I am in favor
of bigger and larger turnouts
for the coming year."
Edward F. Cooley (A/43) Al-
pine, New York: "I traveled
all the way from New York
hoping to see more men from
"A" company. The men from
"C" and "D" Company who
attended seemed to be having
a lot of fun."
Maurice A. Newman (HQ/82)
250 Champion, Battle Creek,
Mich.: "Due to my new job in
Battle Creek I almost didn't
think I could make the reun-
ion. This was the first one I
could make in many a year.
It was nice to meet the men
and their wives who I had
not seen for quite some time.
I had hoped to see Daisey and
Wes Gardiner, but I am sure
they would have made the re-
union if they could."
William Galvin (SV/43) RR1,
Yorkville, 111. "Since I at-
tended my first reunion in Chi-
cago I haven't missed any
since. Everyone of them seems
to get better and better. I wish
more men from the "SV" Co.
would get on the ball. How a-
bout you men making the next
one in Pittsburgh.
Thomas M. Williams (B/56)
Rt. 7, Box 518, Charlotte, N.C.:
"Charlotte was our first re-
union. My wife, Gaynell, won't
let me stay away from any
more, if she can help it. I wish
I had known of the association
ten years ago. It is good to see
so many of the men from "B"
Co. and all the other nice
friends we have made to help
make our reunion so much fun.
It's

Robert Rupert (HQ/119) P.
O. Box 525, Kittanning, Pa.,

Some of you may remember
that Bob was Reunion Chair-

which was also held in Pitts-
burgh. Janet and I remember
that reunion very well as it
was a well planned and happy
affair. In fact, it was the first
one that our daughter attend-
ed with us. These five years
have sure gone by with a rush.
Bob's Co-Chairman is Karl
Kugel (D/23) 92 Jenny St., Al-
iqippa, Pa., who has been an

Wenzel E. Arbuckle (HQ/66)
6415 W. Roosevelt Rd., Berwyn,
111.: "I am grateful to my good
buddy, Herbert Modrow, for
signing me up as a member. I
certainly regret that I have
not attended the other 14 re-
unions. It was so nice to get
together with so many of my
buddies I havent' seen since I
left the service. Hoping to see
more and more men from 66th
Armd. Inf. Bn. at the reunion
in Pittsburgh in "62".
