The Homecoming Parade offered enjoyment to those who lined the streets to view the colorful
floats and other participants.
Beginning at the Brownwood Coliseum, the parade continued down Center Avenue, around
campus and back up Fisk Avenue to the Coliseum.
The parade featured various floats which entered under the theme, "Sailing into the Second
Century." Also included were the HPU Marching Band, and floats and cars from area churches and
organizations. The Sophomore Class took first place honors, followed by Delta Chi Rho and the
