Editorial
No greater compliment can be
paid a person than to tell him
that he Is courteous and mindful
of the rights of his fellowman
WHflc the students of T H S
are possibly polite enough on the
campus and in the halls and
classrooms a great measure of
courtesies is noticably lucking in
the assembly meetings the time
when it is most desired
This embarrassing issue Is becoming
so acute that steps should
bo taken immediately to correct
it Although the problem is a
large one It can be corrected by
one small word attention
If each person In high school
would apply the word attention
to his behavior In assembly there
would be no discourtesy and im
pijftiteness in the student body
Whether or not you are interested
in what the speaker Is saying
you can sit quietly and stare
him in the face Who knows perhaps
the pne behind you is interested
in him
Come on students To save the
faculty members from being compelled
to issue detentions during
assembly programs lets improve
our behavior

S H Condron Speaks
To School On Hobbies
A hobby Is The thing you do
when you do the thing you like
best besides the job you regularly
do for a living said Mr S
H Condron economics professor
In WTSC in a talk to the assembly
last Wednesday
One of the chief points which
Mr Condron brought out in his
talk n hobbles was that no one
can pick your hobby for you He
sadi that one should select a hobby
that will last throughout life
and in all seasons
Many interesting hobbles can
be found In the field of nature
said Mr Condron It is a fine
thing he thinks to pick a hobby
wheih will make other people
happy
Mr Charles Reeve was responsible
for bringing the speaker to
