An Ordinance an(l Decree to purchase Provisionls Jbr the
Vol/lu-teer -ArmIy of the People o' Texas.

d(crred (b t(h,' P-ro i ; ioid G.overnllmet, That one hundred
ha.rrels of Hour, one hundred barrels of sea bread or
biscuit, and twenty-five )barrels of peas or beans, shall
be, and they are hereby ordered to be purchased, as
soon as practicable, at Matagorda or the nearest place
where they can be obtained, for the use of the Volunteer
Army of the People of Texas.
SEC . 2. 3 it or(lalnedl (an([d decreed, j'-., That John
Dunn be appointed a Commissary to purchase the above
articles contained in the preceding section; and that
when so purchased he be directed, and it is hereby made
his duty, to cause the same to be conveyed by water, to
the Copano Landing, and fiom thence to be transported
to Bexar as soon as possible, for the use of the army stationed
there. And the said Commissary shall keep a
truth and just account of the purchase, cost and transpo(rtation
of the said articles, aforesaid, to the place of
their destination, and shall render the same to the Contnittee
on Finance, for audit, liquidation and final settlement,
or to the proper Account Officers that may hereafter
be appointed for that purpose.
