HERITAGE

VOLUME 2

NUMBER 3

LETTERS
Over the past two years the Texas Historical
Foundation has increased the volume
and content of the HERITAGE from a
four-page newsletter tabloid to a professional
journal, expanded to contain historic
research, folklore, conservation
notes and restoration projects around the
state.
Early in 1985 distribution of the HERITAGE
included, in addition to THF
membership, magazine stands and bookstores
in the Austin/San Antonio corridor.
With the advent of a growing audience
came letters heralding the HERITAGE
as an important educational resource
which stimulates public interest and participation.
Ironically, what also came

name TEXAS within the title of the magazine.

TEXAS was dropped in lieu of
HERITAGE.
Based on current figures, we can project
a continued effort to upgrade the literary
and graphic contents with a continued expansion
of membership contributions, donations
and support from a growing
constituency.

The Editors
