SESSION OF 1918-'19
every way possible. Monday of Commencement week will be known
as Alunini Day. At 10 o'clock a. m. the organization will have a business
meeting. The evening program will consist of an able address
and other interesting numbers.
Membership is divided into three classes:
Regular membership will be given only to those who have completed
a college course.
Associate membership will be given to anyone who has been in
A. C. C. one session.
Honorary membership is conferred on friends of the school by a
vote of the regular members.
The charter members are:
Vincent Sikes, Gertie Horn, Claude Sikes, Stella Brown, Vernon
CcCasland, Lylian Arledge, Howard Noles, Mrs. Addie Beede Gilliland,
Eddie Whittemore, Rubye Elliott, Walter W. Sikes and Lorah Branch.

CO-EDUCATION
Under proper restraint, the association of boys and girls, young
men and young women, is most helpful and valuable. It develops
the finer graces in social life and gives ease, dignity, confidence and
naturalness. Each exercises a restraining, refining, and ennobling influence
over the other. They are not permitted to board in the same
houses, and social intercourse is permitted only on occasions provided
for that purpose. The boys and girls meet only in the class
rooms, in the chapel, and in the literary societies, and always under
the supervision of a member of the faculty.
ABE YOU WANTED?
It would be ideal if a school could be found in which there were
no sports, dudes, idlers, shallow-brains, busy-bodies in everything except
that for which they were sent to school. We are anxious to help;
but if you are "going off to school" to see how much of the "old man's
money" you can spend; or if you think you must slip out at night and
see how many foul things you can learn; or if you think a little learning
a dangerous thing, and are going to fight against getting any at
all, or if your shoes are too highly polished to put under a study table,
your hair too well combed to run your fingers through, your trousers
too well pressed to sit any place except in the parlor; or if you have
too many suits to stay in your room, please allow us to save you time,
money and embarrassment. A. C. C. has no place for you, and will not15
