COURSE 4.-Medieval and Modern History. Text: West; Foster's

LATIN
COURSE 1.--D'Ooge's Latin for Beginners (or Smith's Latin Lessons),
entire. Some of Caesar's Gallic War may be read in the Spring
term. Thoroughness is insisted on in this first year's course. A poor
start generally means difficulties throughout all the courses and often
failure, whereas a thorough preparation in the first year makes all the
following courses easier.
COURSE 2.--Four Books of Caesar's Gallic War, review of grammar,
at least twenty lessons in Latin prose composition. One of
Cicero's Orations may be read in the Spring term.
GERMANCOURSE 1.-This course will not be unpatriotic, but aims for
