gets the consent of the Dean. No student will be permitted to change
a course after without first getting the permission of the Dean upon
recommendation of the instructor, and then paying a change fee of

1. The last week of each term is devoted to examinations. Onethird
of the grade of the term is based on these examinations.
2. All examinations must be written, and in the College they are
three hours long. Any student making below 50 on an examination
will not be allowed to continue the course.
3. Any examination paper may be graded down to much as ten
points for poor English.
4. If a student is absent from the regular examination with excuse,
his grade is suspended until he takes a postponed examination;
but if he is absent without excuse, he is graded E and required to
take the work over.
COURSES
1. No more than six courses may be taken by a College student.
2. The following courses are open to first year college students:
Bible, English A, Mathematics A, Latin A and B, Greek A, German A,
and History A.
GRADUATION AND DEGREES,
Students finishing the College work in a satisfactory manner will
be permitted to graduate, and will receve a diploma. These students
will be able to enter the University of Texas with two years credit.
An examination of our work will reveal the fact that it is much superior
to the work for which many colleges give a Bachelor of Arts
degree. We do not refrain from giving such degrees because our
work is inferior to the work of the average college giving them, but
because we do not believe it is fair dealing to grant the degree until
the course of study is strictly standard in length. Ours is a Junior
college, and we give two years strictly standard college work on
which students may enter the University with two years credit. WE
ONLY ADVERTISE WHAT WE GIVE. WE GIVE WHAT WE
ADVERTISE.29
