Abilene Christian College

LOCATION
Abilene, a thriving city of 10,000 people, is situated near the
geographical center of Texas, and is surrounded by a fine agricultural
country.
We are well supplied with railroads, so that students have
no trouble in reaching our school. From east and west they
come over the Texas & Pacific; from north, over the Wichita
Valley; from south, over the Abilene & Southern.
MORAL AND RELIGIOUS INFLUENCES
There are no saloons in this part of the State. Abilene is
a good town morally, and the college is located in the best residence
part of the city. This school is neither sectarian nor
denominational, but preeminently Christian. It Is free from
hobbies and hurtful tendencies. In fact, the surroundings and
school influences, both moral and religious, are all that could
be desired.
HEALTH AND CLIMATE
This section of the State is noted for its healthfulness.
Many people suffering from chronic ailments are greatly benefitted
by coming here.
This high altitude is conducive to study. Here the air is
pure and invigorating and the student can do more work than
in a climate where he feels sluggish. This Itself gives us an
advantage over many other schools, and makes our school
peculiarly attractive to students in the lower counties farther
east.
