political, economic, and social achievements of the period from 1500 to
1815.

of European history from 1815 to the present time. Special emphasis is
placed on modern European history.

States from the colonial beginnings through the War of 1812.

the social, political, and economic development of the United States from the
War of 1812 lo the reconstruction period after the Civil War.

period after the Civil WXar, and the chief political, economic, and social problems

States and of Tex;s, and is designed to meet the state requirements for teachers'
certificates.
351.-American Diplomacy. In this course the foreign relations of the
JUnited States from the Republic down to the Civil War are studied. Special
emphasis is placed on the French Alliance, purchase of Louisiana and Florida,
the Monroe doctrine, the Oregon and Texas questions, and the diplomacy of
the Mexican War.
352.-American Diplomacy. This is a study of American diplomacy since
