suffering, first before His friends in the Upper Room, then before
his enemies during his last earthly hours and death; and
finally His glory in the Resurrection is the way the course is
outlined and presented. Fall term.
292.-The Gospel in Romans. The book of Romans supplies
the material for this course. Its doctrines of Condemnation,
Justification, Sanctification, Glorification, Predestination, and
Consecration are studied carefully. The design of the course is
to give the student a comprehensive view of the philosophy of
sin and salvation. Winter term.
293.-General Epistles. This course is an intensive study
of the epistles of James, Peter, John, and Jude. The purpose
of the course is to cause students to feel the spiritual quickening
which these books are capable of imparting. Spring term.
360.-Teaching God's Word. A general application of the
principles of pedagogy to Bible teaching. The course is inspirational
and informational. The size of the class will be limited
to twenty. Given every quarter if there is sufficient demand.
Lectures, class discussions and individual reports on assigned
topics.
361.-Scheme of Redemption. This course, together with
362, makes a detailed topical study of the divine plan for man's
redemption from his fallen state. Such topics as the atonement,
faith, repentance, baptism, church officers and their qualifications
are studied. These courses give anyone a good general view
of God's dealings with man through all time as revealed in His
word. McGarvey's Commentary on Acts.
362.-Scheme of Redemption. This course studies the
Church and its work. Topics such as teaching the church, evangelizing,
song service, prayer, the Lord's Day, the Lord's Supper,
etc., are carefully studied with the Bible for our guide.
391.-Local Church Life. This course, taken with Bible
392, includes a survey of the local church with its many problems
and duties. Neither 391 nor 392 depends on the other, but
they are helpful corrollaries, and the student who takes one should
take the other. 391 deals with the organization, leadership,
missionary responsibilities, internal unity and peace, and the
headship of the church. Fall term.
392.-Local Church Life. This course deals with true
worship as contrasted with false worship (with stress upon the
