192. The Law and the Gospel. The book of Galatians with
its great messages of freedom in Christ is first studied. Then the
epistle to the Hebrews is studied and compared with the law
and the worship of the Old Testament. Formerly 212. Spring
quarter.
222. The Life of Christ.-The book of Luke, which has
been called "the most beautiful book in the world," is the chief
study in this course. The book is analyzed and the part known
as "the great interpolation" because its content is peculair to
Luke is especially emphasized.
272. Scheme of Redemption. This course, together with
282, and 292, make a detailed topical study of the divine plan
for man's redemption from his fallen state. Such topics as the
atonement, faith, repentance, baptism, church officers and their
qualifications are studied. These courses give anyone a good
general view of God's dealings with man through all time as
revealed in His Word.
282.-Scheme of Redemption. This course continues work
as described under 272. Though studied topically it is also
treated historically, 272 covering approximately the first 2500
years of time, 282 about the next 1500 years.
292. Scheme of Redemption. This course studies the
Church and its work. Topics such as teaching the church, evangelizing,
song service, prayer, The Lord's Day, The Lord's
Supper, etc., are carefully studied with the Bible for our guide.
312. Christianity versus Paganism. This course is a survey
of the various problems which arose out of the clash between
Christianity and Idolatry when the church was planted
in a heathen center such as Corinth. The two Corinthian letters
and Colossians furnish the matter for this course.
322. The Gospel in Romans. The book of Romans supplies
the material for this course. Its doctrines of Condemnation,
Justification, Sanctification, Glorification, Predestination, and
Consecration are studied carefully. The design of the course
is to give the student a comprehensive view of the philosophy
of sin and salvation. Winter quarter.
342. Teaching God's Word.
343. The Pentateuch. This course includes the entire
literary output of Moses. It begins with the general history
found in the first eleven chapters of Genesis, and contains with
the history of Abraham and his seed. Careful attention is given48
