223.-Principles of Human Geography. An intensive and
scientific study of those fundamental relations between physical
environment and human activities. A fundamental course in
"humanized" geography. Winter Quarter.
233.-Conservation of Natural Resources. This study will
include a careful summing up of our present resources, and
analysis of the different sources of waste, and a study of the
best forms of reclamation and conservation. Fall Quarter.
243.-Historic Geography of the United States. A study of
the geographic factors involved in the exploration, colonization,
expansion, and development of the United States into a world
power. Spring Quarter.
203.-Teaching of Geography in the Grades. The nature
and scope of geography, the subject matter to be selected, and
the best methods of presentation for the different grades. (Same
as Education 203.) Open to Freshmen by special permission.
Fall Quarter, Summer Quarter.
Junior Courses:
303.-Teaching of Geography in the Junior and Senior High
School. A study of the aims, content, and best methods of
teaching geography in High School. (Same as Education 303).

343.-Business Geography. This course emphasizes the
geographic principles in business relations as evolved among
typical communities of the United States. Geography 145 prerequisite.

Senior Courses:
355.-Geography of the South. A study of the natural
regions of the South with special emphasis on the influence of
geographic factors upon the human activities of the South. Texas
will be studied intensively. Winter quarter.
373.-Geography of North America. A study of the continent
as the seat of modern industrial society. Each region is
studied with regard to its resources, industries, and commercial
