in high school methods. It deals with the nature and organization
of high school subject matter and the best methods of presenting
this to bring about the growth and development of the
adolescent.
313-B.-( ,) Observation of Teaching. The course will consist
of the observance of teaching in the Academy, the Training
School and the Abilene Public Schools. Detailed reports must be
made of these and these reports will form a basis for class room
discussions. At least 36 clock hours of class-room observation
will be required.
313-C.-Practice Teaching. At least 36 clock hours of actual
class room teaching will be required of each person who takes
this course. The teaching will be done in our own Training School
and Academy and will be under the direct oversight of competent
critic teachers and under the general supervision of the Department
of Education.

125.-Elementary Psychology. A general introductory course
which gives a brief survey of the scope of general psychology.
Counts as Elementary Education. Text: Bennett, Psychology and
Self Development.
103.-Educational Psychology. This course deals with those
phases of psychology which throw light upon the process of
learning, and with the application of principles of psychology to
teaching the common branches. Class experiments form a part
of the work. Text: La Rue, The Child's Mind and the Common
Branches.
213.-The Adolescent. A course dealing with the facts and
principles of physical, mental, moral and religious development
throughout the period of adolescence. (Counts as Secondary
