ABILENE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE
THE DRAMATIC CLUB.
This club meets each week under the direction of the teachers
of Expression. Short plays and other numbers are given. This
not only affords entertainment for the members and others who
attend, but does much to develop public speakers and other public
workers.
ATHLETICS.
It shall be the purpose of the school to make athletics a
means to an end. Football, basketball, baseball, track, and
tennis are all given a place. For additional information see the
Department of Physical Training.
ALUMNI.
During the session 1916-17 an Alumni Association was organized.Membership is divided into three classes:
Regular membership, given only to those who have completed
a college course.
Associate membership, given to any one who has been in A.
C. C. one session.
Honorary membership may be conferred upon any friend of
the school by a recommendation of the regular membership.
The charter members are:
Vincent Sikes, Claude Sikes, Gertie Horn, R. Roy Coons,
Stella Brown, Vernon McCasland, Howard Noles, Lylian Arledge,
Mrs. Addie Gilliland, Eddie Whittemore, Rubye Elliott,
Walter W. Sikes, Mrs. W. C. Smith (nee Lorah Branch), and
Carl Cannon.
SCHOLARSHIPS.
Owing to the difference in the grading of the two classes of
students two scholarships are offered-one in the academy and
one in the college-to the student making the highest average
grade, deportment included. These scholarships are good for
free tuition the following session.

T. C. CAMPBELL LOVING CUP.
