ABILENE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE
4. Bible 143, 153 and 163 are required of all freshmen.
5. Eighteen hours of Natural Science, requiring laboratory
work, must be done. Young ladies may offer as much
as nine hours of Home Economics toward meeting this
requirement.
6. Not less than ten hours of Mathematics must be offered.
7. Physical Education 242 a, b, c are required of all candidates
for degrees. All resident students will be required
to take physical training all the time they are in
college unless excused by the Dean.
Third.-When a student has received credit for as much as
ninety-six hours he will be required to select his major field. In
this he must complete at least thirty-five hours and not more
than fifty-two hours. At last twenty of these must be advanced.
In his first minor he must finish at least twenty-five hours, and
not more than forty, and at least twenty and not more than thirty
hours in the second minor. Enough advanced work must be done
in the two minors, which when added to the advanced work done
in the major subject will make forty-eight hours.
When a student has selected his major subject, the head of
that department becomes his advisor. In conference with this
professor the student will then select his two minors, and, in
fact, he must have this professor approve his course of study
each time he registers before the Dean will approve his course
card. It is understood that the minors selected shall be fields
closely related to his major field and strengthening it.
At present students may major in the following fields and
subjects:
1. Bible; (a) English Bible, (b) Religious Education.
2. Education.
3. English.
4. Foreign Language; (a) Latin, (b) Spanish.
5. Mathematics.
6. Natural Science: Biology, Chemistry.
7. Social Science: (a) Geography, (b) History, (c) Sociology.Fourth.--The completion of one hundred and ninety-two hours
