352.-Quantitative Analysis.
Theory and methods of quantitative analysis. Continuation of
351. Volumetric determinations. Two lectures and three hours
laboratory each week.
262.-Sanitary Water Analysis.
Chemical and bacteriological examination of waters of this vicinity.
Prerequisite: Chemistry 351, 352. One lecture and three
hours laboratory each week.
264.-Food Analysis.
The quantitative analysis of common foods, such as milk, butter,
fruits, spices, baking powders, food colorings, oils and fats,
nuts, alcoholic beverages, etc. One hour lecture and three hours
laboratory per week. Prerequisite: Chemistry 351, 352.
371.-General Organic Chemistry.
General principles and a study of the aliphatic compounds. Two
lectures and three hours laboratory each week.
372.-General Organic Chemistry.
A continuation of 371. The aromatic compounds. Two lectures
and three hours laboratory each week.
395.-Physical Chemistry for Pre-Medical Students.
Theory and methods of physical chemistry especially utilized in
the study of medicine. (Offered when there is sufficient demand).
Two lectures and three hours laboratory.
PHYSICS
302.-Physical Science.
An introductory course correlating astronomy, physiography,
chemistry and physics with a view of aiding the student to appreciate
and interpret his physical environment, open only to
freshmen. This course satisfies three semester hours of the
science requirement for the elementary teacher's certificate.
Offered each semester. Two lectures and three hours laboratory
each week.
313.-General Physics.
A study of mechanics and heat with stress on the interpretation
of physical facts and formulas. Two lectures and three hours
laboratory each week.
314.-General Physics (Continued).
Electricity, magnetism, sound and light. Two lectures and three
hours laboratory each week.
321.-Second Year Physics.
Mechanics, molecular physics, sound, heat, and light, studied
