ABILENE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE

has all the modern conveniences of the city without its usual
vices and detracting influences. It is a high, healthful location,
almost entirely free from malaria, and with an abundance of sunshine
the year around. Students, without doubt have better health,
feel better, do more work and better work in our excellent climate
than in the low altitude and humid atmosphere further east.
Our patrons from North, East and South Texas, Arkansas and
Louisiana say the physical improvement of their sons and daughters
over-balance by far the distance. Abilene is a very desirable
place in which to live, from the viewpoint of finance, elevation,
climate, health, citizenship, church, and school. The oil
industry and excellent crop conditions make it especially inviting
in the various business fields at this time. Good families are
moving here especially for the benefit of Abilene Christian College.
This should be true to a greater extent than ever since
we are giving four years of standard college work so the children
of the family can complete their college education with us
and receive their B. A. degrees. We should be glad to furnish
any information possible on these points.
PURPOSE OF ABILENE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE
The Christian men and women who make Abilene Christian
College possible have in mind the glory of God, through the Lord
Jesus Christ, and the ennobling of mankind. The promulgation
of truth and the building of Christian character are primary.
Sacrifices have been made and will be made to maintain such
secular courses as will give the greatest efficiency for the several
fields of human endeavor. To this end by the grace of God and
the kindness of consecrated men and women, is offered the full
work of standard four-year college. The purpose is to develop
genuine Christian men and women, well equipped for efficient
service in any honorable field of human activity.
PRESENT EQUIPMENT
The equipment is practically new, modern and usable, and
is worth three hundred thousand dollars.
ADMINISTRATION BUILDING
The administration building has been used five and a half
years. It is a brick and concrete structure, modern in design and
construction. Besides the basement, library and study hall, it
contains sixteen excellent class rooms, the three offices and splendid
auditorium, all well furnished.
