ABILENE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE
Any student may be asked to withdraw without having committed a
special offense provided in the judgment of the discipline committee he is out
of harmony with the interest of the school and student life. Also a student
may be deprived of any honor or privilege that the College grants.
All accounts must be adjusted before a student is permitted to take final
examinations.
No boarding student is permitted to keep an automobile unless he obtains
written permission from the Dean of Students.
ATHLETIC REGULATIONS
Since Abilene Christian College is a member of the Texas Conference,
the rules of that body are followed in all intercollegiate contests.
All schedules of games and contests are made or approved by the Faculty
Committee on Athletics.
The Athletic Committee gives all awards or letters upon the basis of the
ability and faithfulness of the individual athlete.
All letters are awarded by the College. All recommendations for letters
must pass through the Athletic Committee. The Committee reserves the
right to withhold a letter from an) student for any reason which it may
consider proper. Letters are awarded at commencement. No student is
awarded a letter in any form of athletics who does not remain in school
one semester.
HOUSING REGULATIONS
All boarding students are required to room in dormitories, unless special
permission is obtained to do otherwise.
Boys and girls doing light housekeeping may not stay in the same home.
In case of a couple (brother and sister or married couple) doing light housekeeping,
the two must stay in a home where there are no other students.
No student is permitted to stay in any home that is not on the approved
list of homes for students. No student is permitted to change his place of
residence without permission from the registrar.
The occupants in the college homes are held responsible for all damage
they cause in them.
All dormitory students are required to eat at the College dining hall
unless they obtain special permission from the president.
STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
Clubs and societies must not be organized without permission of the
faculty committee on student organizations. At the beginning of each long
session each club must submit a list of its members, and must place on file
with the faculty committee a copy of its constitution and by-laws. No club
will receive the recognition of the College that retains in its membership
students that fail to make passing grades in three-fifths of their school work.
ATTENDANCE
Regular class and chapel attendance is required of all students. The College
insists upon regular church attendance.20
