Psychology Requirements
The program in counseling/clinical psychology is
designed to prepare students (1) to find employment
with supervision in various areas of psychology, (2) to
begin a college teaching career, or (3) to continue in
further graduate study.
A minimum of 45 hours in psychology is required for
graduation.

PSYC 690, 692, and 694 must equal a minimum of
450 clock hours of supervised practicum. The thesis
topic (PSYC 699) is expected to be directly related to
school psychology. No minor is required.Theatre
other than theatre. Graduate students are assigned key
positions in acting, directing and design. Emphasis is
placed on the Christian viewpoint as it relates to
comtemporary theatre.Adviser: Adam Hester
The Department of Theatre offers an MA in Theatre
which may include all aspects of play production or
may be tailored to individual needs, emphasizing
directing, performance, and various technical areas.
The ACU Theatre provides Christian training for
talented, strongly motivated students. The master's
program at ACU best serves those who will continue
on to a Ph.D. program, those who are elementary or
secondary teachers and need an advanced degree or
individuals whose bachelor's degree is in some fieldThe technical curriculum provides hands-on experience
in all phases of backstage work, and the practicum
guarantees a well-rounded knowledge of theatre crafts.
The ACU Theatre operates out of Sewell Theatre and
the ACU Lab Theatre (a flexible black box); in addition,
three other facilities are utilized throughout the season.
The Homecoming Musical in the Abilene Civic Center
draws sell-out crowds of 9000. Dinner theatre
productions in Sewell enjoy three weekend runs and
are equally popular. The Children's Theatre in Cullen
Auditorium plays to 12,000 area school children, andI I
