expansion of England during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
305.-English History. This is a course which deals with the growth
of democracy in England during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
.England's part in the World War is also stressed.
306.--Introduction to European History. This course deals with
important political, economic, and social achievements of the period
from 1500 to 1815.
307.-Development of European History. This course covers the
period of European history from 1815 to the present time. Special
emphasis is placed on modern European history.
320.-Anmerican History. This course covers the history of the
United States from the colonial beginnings through the War of 1812.
321.-American History. This course concerns itself with the study
of the social, political, and economic development of the United States
from the War of 1812 to the reconstruction period after the Civil
War.
322.-American History. This course will consider the reconstruction
period after the Civil War, and the chief political, economic and
social problems up to the present time.
323.-Government. This course deals with the constitution of the
United States and of Texas, and is designed to meet the state requirements
for teacher's certificate.
325.-George Washington Appreciation Course. This course has
been prepared under the special direction of Dr. A. B. Hart of Harvard,
and under the general supervision of the United States George Washington
Bicentennial Commission with the President of the United
States as its chairman.
The specific aims are:
1. To present the historical facts in the life of George Washington.
2. To give a knowledge of the vision, power, and leadership of
George Washington and of his ideals of faith, loyalty, and courage.
3. To assist students to acquire an understanding of the problems
that confronted our national growth and the active participation of
