of the president of the Board of Directors and the President
and Dean of the College. This money is to be loaned
to worthy students at a low rate of interest.
HUDSPETH LOAN FUND
In November, 1922, Mrs. A. J. Hudspeth of Valley
View, Texas, started this fund with a gift of one hundred
dollars.
This fund has been merged with the Abilene Christian
College Loan Fund which was started during Lecture
Week, 1922, and now amounts to over nine hundred dollars.
This money is loaned to worthy students who are
unable to attend school without help.
W. CLUB LOAN FUND
On June 11, 1928, the W Club set aside the sum of
$87.50 as a permanent fund to be loaned to worthy young
lady students of Abilene Christian College. It is the
purpose of this Club to increase this amount to $1,000
at a very early date. The fund is administered as the
other funds mentioned above. It is loaned at five per
cent interest to worthy young ladies.
SCHOOL AND COLLEGES
All the work of Abilene Christian College is divided into
five distinct parts as follows:
1. The College of Arts and Sciences, which offers courses
in ten different departments, and which confers, upon
the successful completion of a four-year course, the Bachelor
of Arts degree.
2. The Correspondence School.
3. The School of Fine Arts, containing the departments of
Art, Piano, Voice, Speech Art, and Violin.
4. The Demonstration School, including: The Training
School, which covers the work of the elementary grades; and
The Academy, which is a standard, fully accredited high school.
The Demonstration School is maintained as the laboratory
of the Department of Education in the College of33
