(4) Six hours of physics. Women may substitute six hours of
home economics, unless it is selected as a minor.
(5) In case elementary education is a minor subject, six hours
of nature study may be offered in lieu of physics.
d. Education Major.
(1) Minor: Art, history, natural science, home economics, music,
public speaking, Spanish, English, or mathematics.
(2) Three hours of psychology in addition to "5".
(3) Six hours of natural science in each of two, except that six
hours of mathematics or six hours of home economics (women
only) may be substituted for six hours in natural
science.
(4) Six hours in social science other than government, or six
hours in Christian education.
(5) If a student selects secondary education as a major he must
complete twenty-four semester hours in one teaching or
eighteen semester hours in each of two subjects taught in
high school.
(6) Primary education as a major: Courses 331, 332, 366 or 364,
385, 381, 484; English 350. Art 313, 314; Music 321, 322.
(7) Elementary education as a major: Courses 331, 332, 366 or
364, 385, 383, 484; Art 313, 314; Music 321, 322.
(8) Secondary education as a major: 321, 322, 368, 385, 393, 490,
three hours in special methods or 364.
e. Home Economics Major.
(1) Minor: Art, Bible, English, music, education, natural
science, speech, or physical education.
(2) Six hours in chemistry.
(3) Biology 340 and 390.
(4) Three hours in child or adolescent psychology.
(5) Home Economics 300 ,310, 321, 324, 326, 340, 353, 361, 380,
390; Art 320.
f. Physical Education Major.
(1) Minor: English, Spanish, mathematics, public speaking, history,
