Scales in extended range. Chromatic scales for all voices. One
recitative and aria. Exercises with octaves, piano and forte.
Prolonged messa di voce. A minimum of fifteen to twenty
standard songs from classic and modern composers. The student
must present a recital program containing a minimum of ten
numbers arranged for concert.
Voice 181-182, or 281-282, or 381-382-Fourth Year Voice.
Scales suitable to the individual voice which will show advanced
study. One aria from opera or oratorio, selected by the
teacher to show breath control, ornament, sostenuto, staccato,
diction, and varied interpretation, according to the type of
voice. A minimum of twenty standard songs. The students must
present recital program containing a minimum of ten numbers
arranged for concert.
One hour of college credit will be given for one lesson per
week, with one hour daily practice. Two hours credit may be had
for two lessons per week, with two hours daily practice, or three
hours credit in the case of music majors, for two lessons per week,
with three hours daily practice.

of medium difficulty. Selected shorter solos from classics and
modern masters.
Violin 121-122, or 221-222, or 321-322-Second Year Violin.
Violin studies, Kreutzer 42 studies-Selected studies from Fiorillo
36 Etudes; exercises and bowings by Sevcik. Concertos of
moderate difficulty. Solos from classic and modern masters.
All scales, major and minor through three octaves; also in
thirds and octaves; arpeggios in various forms.

Important Note: All violinists receiving credit must attend
orchestra rehearsals regularly.88
