COURSES OF INSTRUCTION
DEPARTMENT OF BIBLE
311.-Old Testament History. This course surveys the entire Old
Testament.
312.-New Testament History. A telescopic view of the New
Testament.
321.-The Life of Jesus the Christ. An intensive study of the recorded
facts of His life with the social, civil and moral backgrounds
that aid in understanding it.
322.-The Teaching of Jesus and Apostolic History. A comprehensive
study of the ethical principles taught by Jesus, and the beginning
and spread of the Christian religion.
360.-Teaching God's Word. This is really a course in "How to
Teach." It is intended, however, to be inspirational as well as informational.
A general knowledge of the Bible and of "The Art of
Teaching" is necessary for one to receive the most profit from the
course.
370.-Bible versus Modernism.-This course deals with modernism
and atheistic philosophy in the light of recent discoveries in science,
history and archaeology, from the viewpoint of the Bible apart from
any appearance of guesswork. It deals with "cold" facts, supported
by the highest scholarship. It was introduced in spring semester, 1936,
under number 372.
380.-The Book of Revelation. In this course the following topics
will be considered: The prologue; the fortunes of the church; God's
supremacy and Christ's indispensable position in Revelation; The
struggle of the church; the judgment of God upon her enemies; her
final victory; the triumph of Christ and His church; the glorious
reign of God and His saints in the new Jerusalem; the epilogue.

101.-Typewriting. Elementary typewriting, first semester.
102.-Typewriting. Elementary typewriting, second semester.
301.-Shorthand. Mastery of principles of Gregg Shorthand.
302.-Shorthand. Continuation of 301.
385.-Business Law (Second Course). Case studies of the legal
aspects of business transactions; contracts, sales, negotiable instruments.
Prerequisite: Six semester hours of advanced work in Business
Administration.
386.-Business Law (Second Course). Case studies of the legal
aspects of business transactions; agency, partnership, corporation,
bankruptcy. Prerequisite: Six semester hours of advanced work in
Business Administration.
