Bible Teacher's Workshop
This workshop is conducted during the last full week of
July for the benefit of Bible School teachers. It includes
daily classes taught by the most capable instructors in the
brotherhood. This year's program will be brought in its
entirety by the Broadway Church of Lubbock, Texas. The
program will be highlighted by four theme speeches and a
daily morning devotional. The registration fee is $6, but the
workshop is free to all ACC students. Address inquiries to
Dr. Carl Brecheen, Director, ACC Station, Box 8250,
Abilene, Texas 79601.
Summer Session Expenses
BASIS FOR CHARGES
Abilene Christian College is a non-profit institution. All
funds received from student charges are spent for services
for students.
Charges paid by a student are considerably less than the
cost of the service given to him by the college. The
remainder of this cost is made up by income from
endowment funds and gifts from alumni and friends who
are interested in the superior type of training which the
college provides. Since every student receives more than he
pays for, each student, in effect, becomes the beneficiary of
a scholarship provided by these friends who pay this
difference.
HOUSING
The college uses the following accommodations for
summer school students:
1. Women's Housing: Gardner Hall, an air-conditioned
dormitory, is $72.00 per term. Sherrod Residential Park
apartments (Buildings J N) are $90.00 per term.
2. Men's Housing: Edwards Hall, an air-conditioned
dormitory, is $72.00 per term. Sherrod Residential Park
apartments (Buildings A-I) are $90.00 per term.
ROOM RESERVATIONS
Reservations are made by making a deposit with the
reservation request in the Business Office (this deposit is
credited as a down payment of the first month's room
rent). The deposit is $25 for dormitories, $50 for
apartments.
