Summer Session Expenses
BASIS FOR CHARGES
Abilene Christian College is a non-profit institution which
receives no support from taxes or other public funds. All funds
received come from student charges and gifts from friends, and
all income is spent for services to students.
Charges paid by a student are considerably less than the cost
of the service given to him by the College. The remainder of this
cost is made up by income from endowment funds and gifts from
alumni and friends who are interested in the superior type of
training which the College provides. Since every student receives
more than he pays for, each student, in effect, becomes the beneficiary
of a scholarship provided by these friends who pay this
difference.
PAYMENT OF ACCOUNTS
1. Regular terms for payment of tuition, fees, board and room
are cash in advance for the term, payable on the registration days
designated on the catalog calendar.
2. Where necessary, patrons may arrange for paying term
accounts in installments. Payment of at least half of the charges
must be made on registration day, with the balance due four
weeks from that date.
3. Charges for college and campus school expenses are made
on the term basis. Checks should be made payable to Abilene
Christian College.
4. A student will not be permitted to take examinations, to
graduate from the College, nor will he be given a transcript of
credits until he makes satisfactory settlement of all his financial
accounts. Transcripts to other schools cannot be released until all
accounts are paid in full. (Exception is made for government
loans if they are not past due.)
5. No refunds on tuition or fees are made for absences either
in the campus school or the college.
6. No student will be given credit for college or campus school
subjects until accounts are paid in full or satisfactory arrangements
are made with the Auditor.
