393 - Homiletics: The Preparation and Delivery of Sermons.
The nature and purpose of preaching are considered, along with
the preacher's qualifications and work. Major attention is given to
the problems of sermon organization and to the effective use of supporting
details. Practice is given in organizing and delivering short
sermons. (Same as Speech 373.)

Attention is given to the problems of finding and preserving
sermon ideas and materials, with the emphasis on Biblical preaching,
Various Itypes of sermons are studied, along with effective oral
langlulage 'and delivery. Continued practice is given in preparing

397 - Religious Radio.
A study of religious radio including the following topics: media
characteristics, purpose, history, outlets (local stations, networks, religious
stations, and missionary stations), audience, and foreign broadcasting.
Three hours lecture and one hour laboratory each week. (Same
