The student in Abilene Christian College working toward his Bachelor
of Science degree in Agriculutre may major in general agriculture,
range management, or animal husbandry.
Under management of the department is farm and ranch land of
nearly 1800 acres. The young men majoring in agriculture learn the
theory in the classroom and then apply the theories in the actual
farm-ranch situation.
Graduates from the Department of Agriculture may now be directly
employed with the Soil Conservation Service. A major in Range Management
is suggested for students desiring to work for the Soil Conservation
Service.
Training in the department qualifies the agriculture graduate for
work in many agricultural organizations. The majority of the graduates
return to farms and ranches.
