COOPERATIVE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE

The university offers several pre-professional programs
whereby students may attend ACU from one to four years
and then transfer to a professional school to complete a
degree in such health professions as medicine, dentistry,
veterinary medicine, optometry, pharmacy, medical technology,

dental hygiene. Students are encouraged to obtain literature
from their chosen professional school to ensure that
they satisfy the school's entrance requirements.
One special kind of pre-professional program is the
cooperative degree program, in which ACU awards the
bachelor's degree to certain qualified students who have
satisfactorily completed three years of prescribed work at
ACU (a minimum of 104 hours) plus one year at a recognized
professional school. The university offers the
cooperative BS in medicine, dentistry, optometry, veterinary
medicine, and medical technology. Students in the
cooperative degree program are advised by the chairman
of the Advisory Committee for the Health Professions.
