RECREATION MANAGEMENT
In this track, courses of study and field experiences have
been designed to prepare the graduate to enter the job
market in areas such as municipal recreation, commercial
recreation, civil service, private recreation, industrial
recreation, church recreation, and university student
recreation.
Departmental Requirements
Departmental requirements for the BS in Recreation
Management are as follows:
1. Required courses, 38 hrs.: RECR 121, 122, 232, 241,
244, 245, 330, 361, 364, 371, 420, 462, 476, 560, and
590.
2. Interdisciplinary requirements, 18 hrs.: CS 105 or
ISQS 120; JMC 233; SOCI 111 and 222; PSYC 120,
and PSYC 232 or 561.
3. Recommended electives: RECR 225, 229, 239, 350,
351, 353; PE 233; MGMT 330; ART 361; AGRI 560;
PSYC 591.
General Electives
The student majoring in Recreation Management must
take enough general electives to obtain a total of 128
credit hours. Arrange your electives to ensure 33 semester

MGMT 330; HED 223; PSYC 378; PSYC 278.CORPORATE-ADULT FITNESS
This track is interdisciplinary by design with required courses,
electives, and laboratory experiences to prepare the
students for graduate studies in adult fitness, sports
medicine, or cardiac rehabilitation.
