Departmental Requirements: Accounting
Departmental requirements for the BBA in accounting are
as follows:
1. Business Core, 31 hours.
A. Accounting, 6 hours: ACCT 210, 211.
B. Management, 10 hours: MGMT 130, 330, 331,

C. Information systems, 6 hours: ISQS 322,
ACCT 324.
D.Finance, 3 hours: FIN 310.
E. Marketing, 3 hours: MKTG 340.
E Human Resource Management, 3 hours: HRM

2. Major requirements, 27 hours.
A. Accounting, 18 hours: ACCT 302, 304, 310, 311,
405, 410.
B. Accounting selection, 3 hours chosen from other
accounting courses.
C. Business Law, 6 hours: BLAW 460, 461.
D. Accounting majors must have a grade of "C" or
better in each accounting course and a GPA of at
least 2.50 in all required accounting courses.
General Electives
To obtain a total of 128 credit hours, the student seeking
the BBA in accounting must take 6-8 hours of general
electives, contingent upon ISQS 122, 123 tested
proficiency. Electives may include deficiency requirements
in ISQS, science, and foreign language.
