Dear Editor
Your marvelous editorial of Nov
17 reached my hands today and it
is a masterpiece I do commend you
highly Having spent most of my
75 years In and near Amarlllo it
breaks my heart that We have only
one biased Republican paper And
sadly enough it is becoming more
vicious all the time Wes Iz7ard wlll
use vicious means to make it diffi j
cult for a good democrat to get any
support The Ted Springer race was
typical The paper has been known
to support an inveterate drunkard
for public office rather than a democrat
Shivers eot the support of this
paper and some almost to the
state pr son in i this plhj r
the thinking of Pan landK and i
very harmful Business men here
have to be careful I know Mr lizard
knows he has strangle hold Hi
feels very smug and is the poorest
sport and loser 1 ever knew Reminds
one of Dallas and Chicago
big dailies The la e Gene How
was not nearly so biased We uif
have Allan Shivers for steads d et
now We democrats are not respected
by this paper 1 have been
shut in and gravely 111 much of the
past three years tnit I voted in my
bedroom Thank God that 1 had the
privilege One more time I
Since your editorial was so out 1
standing Im enclosing SI Please
send me fe of editorials as vie
want to pass them on to some of
my good democratic friends whom
I know would be delighted to see
Nov 17 editorial Some are shut ins
as I am We pensioners have i < > be
careful with our budgets Thanks
again
Hope we can get these soon as is
convenient Many of uj would not
take this paper if we had money
May I add Wes Izzard has been
conducting services at Christian
Science church past three vears and
the rot he has put out is absolutely
not in keeping with teachings rf the
church He joined church in 1952
Remember who else jo nod church

Dear Editor
When I and my son were down in
Swisher county harvesting tnaire we
ran on to a lot of good people Most
of them were Democrats We talk
of papers being o one sided like the
Amanita Daily News and Wes Iz
zard It is hard to get a paper that
will print both sides
When my Amanita paper runs out
I wont need it any longer So here
is two more who Aant a little more
of the other side of the story like
myself Sam Detrlxtie and Dick
Detnthe both of Hlggins Check is
enclosed We are tired of these nuts
who have been running the government
for the last eight years
Would like to take a Democratic
daily
Yours truly
