The following courses are open only to students who have completed
six hours in Economics:
ECONOMICS 201. Money and Banking. This course includes
the study of the origin and use of money, types of money used in
the United States, the field of credit in exchange, and a brief survey
of the national and federal reserve banking system. Three semester
hours.
ECONOMICS 202. Rural Economics. A study is made of the
industrial and financial phases of rural life, the limitations placed
on farm economics by small scale productions, farm management,
farm finance, and various types of cooperative marketing. Three
semester hours.
ECONOMICS 203. Labor Problems. This course includes a
study of the characteristics of good labor force, the government in
its relation to labor, types of labor organizations, and their purposes.
Special study is made of the American Federation of Labor.
Three semester hours.
ECONOMICS 204. Income Tax. A study is made of the rela.
tion of federal income tax to individuals, to business management,
and to accounting principles and practices. Practice is afforded in
preparation of individual, partnership and corporation returns.
Three semester hours.
ECONOMICS 205. Business Organization and Combination.
This course includes a study of three types of industry, growth and
advantages of the modern corporation, origin and development of
the trust problem, business ethics, relation of government to industry,
and federal and state methods of regulation. Three semester
hours.
ECONOMICS 206. Transportation. A study is made of our
means of communication, growth of the world's markets, relation
