Courses of Instruction
COURSE NUMBERING
Courses in the 100 series are intended primarily for freshmen;
those in the 200 series primarily for sophomores; those in the 300
series, primarily for juniors; those in the 400 series, primarily, for
seniors; and those in the 500 series, exclusively for graduates.
Some flexibility is allowed both up and down at all levels. Graduate
students will receive credit for work in the 300, 400, and 500
series only.

BIBLE 101. OLD TESTAMENT INTRODUCTION. A history of the
institutions and nation of the Hebrews. An introduction to each
book of the Old Testament. Offered each semester. The class will
be divided into as many sections as needed. Three semester hours.
BIBLE 102. NEW TESTAMENT INTRODUCTION. A brief survey
of the inter-Biblical period, and of apostolic times. The spread
of the Christian religion, the constitution of churches, and an introduction
to the New Testament writings. Offered each semester;
as many sections as needed. Three semester hours.
The above courses, Bible 101 and Bible 102 are prerequisite
to taking other Bible courses offered.
BIBLE 201 (Formerly 103) LIFE OF CHRIST. The birth, childhood
and manhood, and the divine teachings, works, and miracles
of Jesus will be studied. May be offered each semester. Three
semester hours. Required of students who major or minor in Bible.
BIBLE 202 (Formerly 104) LIFE OF PAUL. This is a biography
of the apostle. A survey is made of his missionary labors, of his
New Testament epistles, and his contribution to Christianity. May
be offered each semester. Three semester hours. Required of students
who major or minor in Bible.
BIBLE 301 (Formerly 208) THE CHURCH. This is a study of
the new Testament church, its constitution, its polity, of churchI
