Joe Adcock Rites
Held at Panhandle
Funeral services Were held at
the Church of Christ In Pan
handle Fflday afternoon for Joe
Adcock Who formerly lived at
old Midway
Mr Adcock was thought to be
recovering nicely after surgery
when he took a turn for the
worse and was readmltted to
the hospital He was found to
be suffering from a blood clot
which was dlsolved but passed
away last Tuesday from another
Mr Adcock was chief mechanic
and foreman of the Carson Coun-
ty highway barn located at Pan-
handle
The 48yearold man was a
brother of Ross Clay Thurman
Herclal and Asa Adcock and Mrs
W E Walser all of whom live
In and around Canadian He is
also survived by his wife Lena
by two daughters Mrs Flavll
Ayers and Patsy Adcock both of
Panhandle by three sons Bobby
and Leland of Panhandle and
Carl in Japan with the navy and
by the following other brothers
and sisters
