Mr. Storrs was heard to remark
that he would be one ol a suffi-
cient number, to raise the needed
money from ' which to secure
water for protection against fire
and other pnrposes in the town.
He will head the list with $1000.
Now it does seem that with a little
agitation that this much needed
improvement might be. secured
and then made to pay a profit in
many wavs.
Remember that when you send
a dollar away from home for mer-
chandise, you kiss it an everlast-
ing farewell. If you spen I your
money with the home merchant,
it returns to you.
W. A. Jonnings, who left here
sometime ago to locate in " ast-
ern Texas, writes the Trionne
from Miles, Texas, as follows:
'Pleaso send me the Tribune, as
I would like to hear how things
are there. Crops are fine hero.
I will locate at Miles. It is just
such a place as Bartlett used to
be; hope it will do as well as old
Bartlett has. Good wishes to the
Tribune and its readers."

it has been my wife's tryuble to
catch a severecold, and therefore
to cough at winter long. Last fall
I got her a bottle of Horehound

Bolton District Court.
Belton, Tex., Oct. 4. The term
of the District Court which ad
journed Friday was a record-
breaker for the number of case3
disposed of during the term. The
term lasted four months. There
were 131 nonjury and 34 jury
civil and 18 felony cases disposed
of. There were 72 appearance
cases brought to that term of the
court. As stated, altogether 165
civil cases were disposed of. This
is 93 more than the new suits
brought to the term. It will thus
be seen that Judge Fur man is
catching up with his civil docket
right rapidly.
