Born in 1927 in Wheelock, Estelle Mitchell Adams is the last surviving grandchild of Georgia slaves who came to Texas in 1895. Her private collection is meant to preserve and share her memories of the cultural and historical details of the African-American citizens who helped to develop the town of Wheelock and Robertson County.
