For the support and maintenance of the Troupe Experimental

SEC. 3. Whereas, there being no appropriations to pay claims against
the State herein provided for which are outstanding and are legal claims
against the State, creates an emergency and an imperative public necessity
which justifies the suspension of the Constitutional rule which
requires bills to be read on three several days in each House, and this Act
shall take effect from and after its passage; and it is so enacted.
[NoTE.-The enrolled bill shows that the foregoing act passed the
House of Representatives by a two-thirds vote, yeas 109, nays 0; and
passed the Senate by a two-thirds vote, yeas 29, nays 0.]

TOWN OR VILLAGE-EXTENSION OF CORPORATE LIMITS
FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES.
H. B. No. 14.] CHAPTER XXVII.
An Act providing for the extension of the corporate limits of any town or village
incorporated for free school purposes only.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
That whenever the territory heretofore incorporated or which may hereafter
be incorporated, for free school purposes, shall contain less than
twenty-five square miles, and thereafter the majority of the inhabitants,
qualified to vote for members of the Legislature, of any territory adjoining
the limits of the town or village so incorporated shall desire such
territory to be added to and become a part of such incorporated town or
