The Formal Opening of the New
Club Rooms a Brilliant Affair
Tho formal opening of the new Elk
club rooms last evening was a mag-
nificent success The best people on
earth wero there for thoy were tho
best people in Palestine and none
better grow anywhere
Tho first hour of tho reception was
spent in inspecting the new building
and in enjoying tho resplendent com
forts of tho luxuriantly furnished
rooms Tiio ladies parlor was es
specially a scene of beauty for the
most beautiful of Palestine ladies were
there prettily costumed and appear-
ing at their very best anild the beauti-
ful setting afforded by this pretty
parlor
The billiard and pool rooms were
well patronized
Promptly at 10 oclock Parnells
matchless orchestra began tho grand
march which was led by Dr McLeod
and Miss Ezoll of Mississippi
Pretty danco programs were dis-
tributed bearing the Elks emblem in
embossed silver and with the follow-
ing inscription
