Dr. Edmund Heinsohn pastor

Ghurch of Austin will be prin-
cipal speaker at Bartlett's Twenty-first
Annual Stag Party Mon-
day January 1st Dr. W. J1. Har-
lan toastmaster for this year's
party has announced.
Dr. Heinsobn spent his early
years in Bartlett. He is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Heinsohn
rywho are counted among Bart
lett's pioneer residents tie is
one of the outstanding min-
isters of his denomination and
is recognized as one of Central
Texas' finest speakers.
Dr. IHe'lnsohn's subject has
not yet been announced Twenty-four
well-known men of Cen:
tral Texas have been invited to
attend . as five-minute speakers
and a few others are expected.
The program which begins
promptly at 6:30 p. m. includes

TO ARRIVE AT 7:00
Bartlett's eleventh annual
Christmas Tree party and pro-
gram will be held Thursday
night December 21st it was
announced this week. The party
is given by the merchants of
Bartlett and sponsored .by the
Business' Men's Luncheon Club.
Plans for the program whicji
include arrangements for the
visit of Santa Claus who will
have packages of fruit and can-
dy for all children are in the
hands of a Luncheon Club com
mittee.
Santa is expected to arrive at
1:30 preceeding his arrival the
C. C. C. Camp orchestra will en
tertain the crowd.
Farmers To Elect
Local Committiees
To Direct Work Dec. 18
Texas farmers and ranchmen
cooperating in the AAA pro-
gram will gather in community
meetings m all parts of the state
Monday December 18 to elect
local committeemen to adminis-
ter the program George
Slaughter chairman of the state
Agricultural Conservation As-
sociation committee has an-
nounced. In the same meetings the co-
oneratincr nroducers will elect
delegates to county conventions
who will in turn elect county

one year Slaughter said and
must be cooperating with the

"The basis of the entire pro-
gram is the community and
county committee set up" the
chairman explained. "The
members of these committees
are administrators who must
make important decisions on

policy and administration. They
are part of the democratic or-
ganization of the AAA which is
turning more and more to farmer-control
of the program"
Sllaughter advised the pro-
ducers participating in the elec-
tions to remember Jthat they
were "electintr administrators
not performance reporters."
