A message was received from the House inform
ing the Senate of the passage of the following
Bills :
A Bill to authorize Constables to act in their of-
ficial capacities throughout their respective coun-
ties. A Bill to repeal and amend the existing laws in
relation to proceedings in Courts of Probate.
A Biil legalizing the records of Panola county
and constituting the same a part of the records of
Harrison county in which they respecMully re-
qu est the concurrence of the Honorable Senate.
Mr. Kaufman presented the petition of Eliza-
beth M. Park praying a divorce referred to the
Committee on the State of the Republic.
Mr. Parker of N. presented the petition of the
heirs of Robert V. Harris praying for relief in re-
lation to the head-right certificate of the said Har-
ris referred to the Committee on Public Lands.
The Committee on the Judiciary reported that
they had had under consideration a "Bill to enforce
the collection of costs in the Supreme Court" re-
turn the same and recommend its passage.

authorizing the Executive to cause all Public Rec
ords Books Archives and Stationary of a move

the city of Austin to the town of Washington and

On motion of Mr. Webb the report and resolu-
tion of the majority of the Committee on Privileges
and Elections in the contested election between
Messrs. Grimes and Williamson was taken up
and read.
Mr. Greer moved that the report and resolution
be laid upon the table.
